Jean Pierre Dupui is Head of SCIB Brazil and Executive Vice-President at Banco Santander Brazil.
Dupui joined Santander in late 2006 to coordinate and develop the Credit Markets area in Brazil, comprising Project Finance, Acquisition Finance, Syndicated Loans and Debit Capital Markets. In 2009, Dupui was selected as head of GTB (Global Transactional Banking) for SCIB in Madrid. He was responsible for GTB until late 2012, when he was invited to return to Brazil to head the Corporate & Investment Banking activities at SCIB Brazil.
Prior to joining Santander, Dupui was a Director at Citigroup Global Markets working as a Senior Executive for the Project and Export Agency Finance Group based in New York and also as Corporate Finance Head at Citigroup Brazil.
Before Citigroup, Dupui developed and was directly responsible for the Debt Capital Markets, Project Finance and Corporate Finance areas at BBVA in Brazil.
Dupui started his career at Lloyds TSB as a trainee and worked in both Sao Paulo and London at Lloyds' International Division.
Dupui was born in Manaus, Brazil. He holds a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Economics from Boston University.
